Cheap Sam's Plant Bargains

We at Cheap Sam’s are proud of the nursery stock we sell and expect the plants you purchase to provide you with years of enjoyment. If a plant is not doing well, please notify us as soon as possible.  We will be happy to give you free advice on what can be done to improve its condition. Often times a plant can be saved if corrective action is taken.  Please do not dig up and return the plant unless we instruct you to do so. Newly planted plants often take longer to leaf out than established plants in the same situation.

If we can’t help you improve the plant’s condition, we will issue a store credit for any plant that does not survive and is returned within six (6) months (180 days) of the date of purchase.  This credit will be limited to the amount paid for the plant.  To receive a credit you must return the item, along with your original itemized sales receipt. Pictures of plants that did not survive are not acceptable; you must return the item to receive credit.  No credits will be given without an original itemized sales receipt (unfortunately we can not accept a credit card statement). 

There are no guarantees on annuals, perennials, ornamental grasses, heather, erica, roses, water plants, tropical plants, clearance items, discounted items, or “specials”.  Credit will be given in the form of a store credit only; there are no cash refunds.  This guarantee is void if the plant was not properly planted, properly watered, or properly cared for.  Please check your receipt for any additional plant care instructions. This guarantee is also void if the plant was planted in an area where it had little chance for survival, such as an area that is too wet or an area without ample sunlight.  Liability under this guarantee is limited to the original purchase price of the plant.  No additional credits will be given for planting or delivery costs.  There will be no guarantee on replacements or on any item purchased with a store credit.

Water thoroughly and regularly the first growing season till the plant’s root system is established.  Do not rely on rainfall alone.  Do not rely on lawn sprinklers, as they do not supply an adequate amount of water.  Watering by hand, two or three times a week, is usually enough.  In hot weather it is important to water more often.  Be careful not to over water as this can be harmful to the plant’s root system.

Please make sure to keep your register receipt!! No credits will be given without this proof of purchase.
